Clinical Dentistry

Study of special subjects, wide range of dental sciences including the basic medical science Studies include the knowledge and techniques for diagnosis and treatment that are related to clinical practice of dentistry.  Lectures and trainings on diagnosis and curative technology, clinical science subjects that are essential for actual treatment of patients, begin in the third year of study. Based on the fundamental knowledge acquired in the basic science subjects, the students learn wide knowledge of etiology and pathology of diseases in dental, oral and maxillofacial areas, and techniques to diagnose and treat diseases for a sound function of tooth and oral cavity.  
Dentists are required to have boundless knowledge of not only dental and oral fields but also of the whole body to diagnose oral diseases caused by general diseases. Therefore, Hematology & Oncology, Biological Regulation, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Angiocardiology, Respiratorology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Nutrition are included as compulsory subjects during the third year.
