Animal Center
Supporting animal experiment is essential for the development of dentistry and medicine.
The Animal Center supports animal experiment, which is essential to dental and medical research and also for developing new treatments. Animal experimentation has become more important than ever. The center was established in 1982, and necessary equipment and regulations have been updated. Well-trained special staffs breed the animals and keep the center clean. Specific pathogen free (SPF) animals are also kept in specific area on the 3rd floor. A special committee has been organized to manage the center, and research trainings are conducted more than 5 times a year. The committees also examine the experimental plans that must meet ethical and technical regulations. Our college and the center respect animal life and their protection.
