Education and Research Purpose

At the Graduate School of Nursing Studies, “we provide education that focuses on mastering the ability to apply expertise, flexible thinking skills on problems, and the ability to pro-actively take actions based on deep insight in order to engage in more advanced nursing practices and nursing education activities, with nursing expertise and skills as the basis thereof and with the purpose of furthering one’s advanced, intelligent education useful in the medical field that keeps advancing in a diverse manner. We also provide education that allows one to equip oneself with practical nursing skills that help in providing health assistance from the oral cavity to the entire body and to cultivate the ability to execute research activities in nursing, on the premise that one masters the fundamental qualifications and abilities in the field of nursing cultivated during his/her undergraduate education.”

3 Policies for Learning

Admissions Policies｜Policy for enrollment acceptance｜
  1. Has the interest and appetite for learning nursing and oral medicine.
  2. Has the basic knowledge and basic skills and attitude in nursing.
  3. Can multilaterally and logically think and appropriately judge situations.
  4. Can accurately express his/her thoughts and communicate such to others.


Curriculum Policy｜Policy for programming and execution of curriculum｜
  1. “Fundamentals of Nursing” courses are set up to educate students regarding the concept of appropriate health support aimed at the patient’s well-being as well as the application of practical nursing skills utilizing advanced communication techniques.
  2. “Integrated Nursing” courses are set up to educate students regarding professional abilities related to nursing activities, such as high ethics, nursing management, and nursing education, with practical nursing skills that suggest and promote oral care based on evidence as the foundation thereof.
  3. “Nursing Area” courses are set up to educate students regarding the ability to create and provide high-quality nursing care based on scientific thinking on nursing for individuals requiring care in various situations and health conditions.
  4. “Nursing Research” courses are set up to educate students regarding the abilities of executing a research plan, judging, logicality, and expression, in addition to pursuing research methodologies, ethics, and questions which handle practical nursing from qualitative and quantitative aspects.


Diploma Policy｜Policy for conferment of degree｜
  1. Have the ability to try to qualitatively transform practical nursing which supports overall body health starting with oral health.
  2. Have an understanding of the latest opinions and trends in nursing activities as well as a comprehensive perspective and the ability to practically apply them.
  3. Explore scientifically on phenomena according to the patients’ characteristics and the nursing situation, in addition to having advanced expertise and the ability to apply them in order to practice them in clinical education and continued education.
  4. Have the research mind necessary for the improvement and development of practical nursing and the ability to execute nursing research focused on medical care.
