Dr. Takashi Matsuura received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1990, and was awarded Ph.D. in 1994 from Hiroshima University. He worked at Hiroshima University Hospital from 1994 until 1995, KKR Hiroshima Kinen Hospital from 1996 until 1997 and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the USA from 1998 till 1999. He then started his career at Fukuoka Dental College in 2000. He worked on cohesion mechanism of Staphylococcus aureus onto epithelial cells while at graduate school, regulation of implant surface osteoblast cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation after graduate school until 1998, and has been working on analysis of collagen of bone and gums since 1999. At clinics, he provides general dental treatment including preliminary prosthodontics treatment for dental crowns, bridges, dentures and implants.
